ANGIE is about the grief surrounding the death of a woman soldier Angie. Her girlfriend Jules and her mother Dawn find themselves in conflict over their loss; Dawn has never been able to accept that her daughter is gay and Jules resents Dawn for never allowing them to marry. It is Dawn who has been named next of kin and that means for Jules that in the eyes of the world their love counts for nothing. However in Angie's possessions Jules finds a letter from her and it is through this that Jules and Dawn ultimately find the ability to help each other through their emotional journeys and in the end to find reconciliation and hope.
