As is hinted in the title, the film Twenty happy endings consists of variations of happy endings. Where one happy endings ends, the next one begins. Together they create an uncompromising repetition where the kiss, the reconciliation and happiness are at the center. Inspired by conventions taken from Hollywood and Swedish film rather than specific end scenes two actors act out the various endings. We meet the bride, the fireman, the pilot, the scooter guy, hippies and the knight and princess to name a few. The starting point is the stories that we know but that in the repetition create something new.
