In the wake of his fathers sudden death, sixteen year old Alex is taken from his comfortable suburban home and thrust into the care of his estranged sister, Crystal, in a very different kind of neighborhood. There, he must learn to get along with Crystal, her hyperactive son, and her live in boyfriend in order to build a new home in Downriver.
