Presented with traditional obstacles in the field and life's demands, female atmospheric scientists face a unique challenge to advance their careers. Atmospheric Science Collaborations and Enriching NeTworks (ASCENT) is an NSF/Desert Research Institute-funded program, conceived by Nobel Prize-winning scientist Dr, Linnea Avallone, Dr. Gannet Hallar and Ms. Laura Edwards. Developed by women scientists for women scientists the 3-year program has provided nearly 100 female scientists with mentorship, support, and inspiration. Through personal stories and on-site interviews. the documentary film reveals the personal and professional benefits of female enrichment for the advancement of science.
