In calm, taut, almost documentary-looking images, Cabo depicts the ambivalent world of the young, Rotterdam-based Cape Verdean Artur. An ambitious medical student with a nice Dutch girlfriend, Eline. That's the woman who he wants to be with. At first glance, Artur seems to have his life well straightened out, but beneath the calm surface there seems to be something that is troubling him. One day, in the library of the College University, an uncannily smiling African sits down at his table and demands a solution for a tricky problem: Artur is now forced to face a part of his life he had rather forgotten about.
