Welcome to the South is based off some of the true life experience that single women are faced with in today's African American society. Tyretha, A mother who has recently witnessed the murdering of her eldest son Tyrell, is now struggling to make decisions that could be consequently detrimental to her youngest son Tyran. Soon after, she has a visit by an unwanted social worker who has come to take the last bit of hope she has left to hold on to, her youngest son Tyran. In hopes that he may live a better lifestyle than the one he has known.
