Weekends With Francis follows the journey of the filmmaker, a graduate film student, into the world of Francis Guez, a recently blinded elderly man who hires her to work as his weekend chauffeur. Through their weekly outings, we are taken deeper into Francis's past as a sighted man, as well as his present reality, a place where vision occurs only in the mind's eye. With each day and destination, the two step further into the unknown, using each other's eyes to explore a world of laughter, loss, and memory.
