Between Sao Paulo and Tokyo. Dudu Tsuda, Leticia Sekito and Henrique Kimura are all Brazilian artists. Like many others, they are nikkeijin. Born in Japan or descendants of Japanese migrants, some decide to go back to the country of their ancestors. Through nine portraits of artists and their work, Where the Sun Is questions culture differences, the way we see ourselves, are seen and perceived as plural, other. This film talks about personal stories, intertwined origins, always looking for a place in society, a place in the sun, even during the darkest hours.
