Album, written and directed by the author of the Pulitzer Prize finalist long-running play of the same name, focuses on three couples at different stages of their relationships, in different time periods. A young couple in 1967, their first love, and the first threat to it-- a draft notice to fight in Vietnam. The same couple in the present day, estranged now, but reunited for the moment in a search for their runaway daughter. The daughter, and her companion on the journey, her best friend, a boy, their friendship about to take a step into romance. Going back and forth in time, the three stories comment on each other and on the transient nature of time and love.
