Food for thought deals with the life of two young boys, Rishi who is thrust into a world of academic torture and Krishna who is a mathematical prodigy stricken by poverty. The story deals with their interaction and how they help each other realize their talents with the aid of a broadminded young professor Mr.Joseph. The film deals with ideas such as identifying hidden talents, broad mindedness and the cyclical concept of giving.
