Hip Hop Hassid is not a conventional documentary about music, because Shnuer Hasofer is not a conventional artist. As his alter ego Describe, Shneur doesn't rap about expensive cars, top shelf liquor, or demeaning women, because he is an observant, Hassidic Jew. Shneur views music as a medium to awaken the human soul, and decides to expose himself outside his own community in Crown Heights, Brooklyn to confront and challenge racial and religious conflicts.
