The lives of two men with schizophrenia converge on the screen in this short documentary. Two uninterrupted pieces of footage presented side-by-side reveal the similar, yet distinctly different, experiences of Austin Mardon from Edmonton, Canada, and Kelly Thomas from Fullerton, California. Through his advocacy work for persons with mental illness, Mardon provides a compelling voice to schizophrenics everywhere. Thomas, too, has a voice. But as this film demonstrates, it is the tragic voice of a man at the end of his life. Please note that this film contains graphic content and may be disturbing to some viewers.
