This is the true story of a father and son struggling to keep their land as the cope with the loss of the recently deceased wife and mother, Maggie. Shot on location at the same property where the event originally occurred in 1890 on the Western Slope of Colorado. This story captures the lonely spirit of the classical western as father, Tom Welch Sr. clings to the last family he has, his son, Tom Jr. Local outlaw and prospector, Ed Harbison approaches the Welch's with an offer to buy out their land. A conflict seems unavoidable when the Welch's refuse to leave their home and Harbison won't back down.
