A man jumps off a cliff into the sea where he hopes to find death. The time of his fall, he has a vision in which time and space, death and eroticism, reality and dream, blend continuously. The protagonist experiences what the ancient Greeks called Katabasis: a descent into the underworld of the psyche, during which the hero has a revelation.
