The Take is a story about the object and the action. The 'Take' is the loot, the goods, the stolen cash and drugs that Ricky has in his possession. The 'Take' is also his act of taking it as well as the act of others taking it from him. The film opens in our protagonist, Ricky's apartment where he is relatively calm, until he receives a distressing phone call from his best friend Mike. What follows is panic, bloodshed and a few surprises. You will be on the edge in pure suspense from the opening scene on.
